Bali is well known for its beautiful white sand beaches, but some people might not be aware that there are areas in Bali with black sand beaches.

These black sand beaches are the result of volcanic eruptions many years ago.

Today, we explored one of the black sand beaches on the west coast, about 40 minutes further north from the Canggu area.

We chose this location because it is quiet and less touristy compared to other areas in Canggu. There aren’t many buildings around, and the area is more lush with greenery such as rice fields and trees.

We started our session around the rice fields and slowly moved closer to the beach as the sun went down.

The clear blue sky with a few white clouds, combined with the greenery, made the perfect backdrop for our photos.

It was such a beautiful afternoon with
